The Blessing and Curse of an Overactive Mind

An overactive mind can be both a blessing and a curse. We often can’t stop thinking, but it is often this deep level of thinking that eventually leads to the big breakthroughs and moments in our lives. In this generation of consumerism and instant gratification it can be rare for people to actually think things through- in this article I cover the blessing and curse of the overactive mind.

It Is Very Difficult For Us To Get Bored

If we have nothing to do it’s okay as our minds can keep us company until the end of eternity.

The problem with this is you can look at the clock on a Sunday evening and realise you have been in bed all day thinking about what you are going to do with this beautiful day.

Decisions Are Not Made Lightly
If you are going to make a big life decision it will have been gone through with a fine tooth comb with all the eventualities thought out.

The problem being you often do not ever get to the decision that needs to be made. Taking an eternity on all the fine points.

We Know When We Have Found Something Special

If you finally find something to keep your mind at bay, you know it is a hobby for life.

Although it is rare that we ever find the hobby that keeps this complex machine quite.

Creativity Usually Comes Easily

Our mind gives us the ability to create an abundance of ideas, concepts and masterpieces.

This can lead to us not doing anything but creating, not being able to finish a project or struggling to choose what to do next.

We Are Never Short Of Ideas

Ideas enter our world in abundance.

Ideas are just that- ideas, if you don’t take the idea and run with it- someone else might or it may just stay sat in the storage of your mind forever.

If We Can Ride The Wave We Really Get To Know Ourselves On A Deep Level

Thinking does give us the opportunity to get to know ourselves really well should we ride the wave and persevere.

The wave can be a pretty big one, with no end in sight.

As I said before- Having an overactive mind can be both a blessing and a curse! However, would we have it any other way? Please share if you can relate!
