Duality is ever present within our day to day life, everything has its opposite and my understanding is that all issues we have can be overcome using its opposing force.
Most think of duality as 2 ends of a spectrum and it ends there however to really get into a deeper understanding of duality- you have to view it as a trinity. The holy trinity is actually duality with its central piece. Father (creator), Spirit (essence) and the son the combination of the 2. The central ground of mind, body and soul is mind- as the body is the physical reality, the soul is spiritual reality and mind is where they meet- the brain (body) processing the consciousness (soul) to create a mix of the 2 (mind). The central ground for man and woman is child. The central ground for masculine and feminine energy is balanced. The central ground for hot and cold is warm. You go into both sides to fully realise the middle ground. This is why it is not always obvious, because you have to enter the world and commit to the understanding of a substance, to fully grasp its meaning.
This is very easy to understand as a concept however to actually practice this in your day to day life can be a very different story. It gets confusing when it is not obvious what the opposing or opposite to a substance may be.
However there is always a way to use mental alchemy to overcome a less desireable feeling, by using its opposing more desireable feeling. In physical alchemy you can remove the essence (spirit) of a substance, by using alcohol, which is the extracting force to the spirit. In this process we can take apart a physical object and divide it into is mind, body and spirit or mercury, salt and sulphur- then recombine and purify it.In this video I discuss duality, alchemy and my understanding of how this merges with the trinity.
